Active cooperation with the local population and the authorities at all its locations is something to which Georg Fischer attaches great importance. The company supports employees who work for the good of their communities. Its subsidiaries sponsor cultural, sporting and social activities in their communities. Georg Fischer maintains a number of foundations, including

  • the Iron Library Foundation - the largest private book collection on iron in the world
  • the "Clean Water" Foundation for the promotion of worldwide access to drinking water
  • The "Paradies" Foundation for the preservation of the region's countryside and buildings and of its cultural heritage
  • The Homberger Foundation, set up to give the children of works employees access to training

As the company's success depends to a high degree on its employees, Georg Fischer is committed to promoting a corporate culture in which self-reliance, creative will, readiness to take risks, innovative thinking and entrepreneurship can prosper. Relevant principles are incorporated in our HR Policy (PDF) and in our Social Responsibility Policy (PDF).
