Prestige project at the Expo 2010 in Shanghai
Urbanisation, one of the major challenges of the 21st century, is the guiding theme of the Expo 2010 in Shanghai. The Expo’s main building, known as The Axis, is, appropriately, cooled and heated with an environmentally friendly geothermal system, a next-generation technology for which GF Piping Systems supplies the piping systems.

Prototype reverse osmosis GF Piping Systems
Fresh water from the ocean (30 September 2008)
Fresh water is increasingly scarce. State-of-the-art seawater desalination plants provide the answer. Drinking water for the whole population (15 May 2008)
A successful public-private partnership is bringing the Philippine capital's public water distribution network up to date. Over five million people are now connected to the public supply network run by Manila Water. Georg Fischer is one of the project's key suppliers.

Employees are producing escalator steps GF Automotive
"Going up" in a growing market (25 October 2007)
Georg Fischer is the world's largest producer of cast parts for escalators and moving walkways. Every year, some two million aluminium die-cast parts are manufactured. Georg Fischer accounts for just under 30 percent of this total.
