Georg Fischer wants to grow by its own efforts, and innovative products, materials and processes are a key element in this strategy. "Growth through Innovation" is thus the Corporation's current motto. Every year, Georg Fischer invests more than four percent of its sales revenue (2009: 116 million Swiss francs) in research and development.
It focuses on product development and enhancement, new materials and the use of tried and tested technologies for new fields of application. Some 500 people in eight countries work in research and development at Georg Fischer. Over 4,000 patents testify to the Corporation's innovative strength.
