The Clean Water Foundation implements most of its drinking water projects in collaboration with experienced NGOs or with local partners. Among the most important criteria for all projects are the involvement of the local population and the use of locally available technologies. Furthermore partners should remain present at the site after completion of the project and thereby contribute to the sustainability of the projects. Finally, it is highly important that the individual drinking water projects are concrete, transparent and that they can be finished within a reasonable amount of time.
Since 2012 the Clean Water Foundation has been working particularly closely together with Caritas Switzerland, which has since implemented about 50 percent of all projects financially supported by GF. Further information about this collaboration can be found here.
