The valuable collection of the Iron Library in Klostergut Paradies
offers an in-depth perspective like no other in the world. The
collection comprises over 40 000 publications that deal with topic of
iron and it continues to grow by about five hundred books annually.
The collection – which has been open to the public
since1952 – includes classics by masters such as Isaac
Newton as well as specialized literature of modern times.

The Iron Library, a foundation of Georg Fischer AG, Schaffhausen, is an international forum for research into the history of technology. The library's books and periodicals, which focus mainly on iron, are available to users on our premises.

activities. The entire library collection is available to the
public in an online catalogue. Valuable manuscripts that
are not publicly accessible have been scanned for viewing purposes.
