History from 1960

Working at Georg Fischer, Rudolf Merz developed the PVC adhesive Tangit, which has been made by Henkel since 1964.

Georg Fischer generated more than half of its sales outside Switzerland for the first time.

In 1966 a new production plant, George Fischer Plastics Ltd, takes up operation in Huntingdon (England).

Manufacture of enamelled Georg Fischer kitchenware and cast iron cooking pots ceased.
