First place for Georg Fischer in the "Bilanz" sustainability rating

The business magazine "Bilanz" has published a sustainability rating for Switzerland for the past four years. The sustainability rating agency Inrate produces the ranking on the basis of 100 criteria such as production processes, products, corporate guidelines, handling of resources, CO2 emissions, social responsibility, and occupational safety. The criteria are given different weightings depending on the sector (financial, healthcare, communications, real estate/construction, energy, industry) and are compared with 1,800 companies worldwide. The mark given is rounded off from +6 to -6.

The good news: Georg Fischer won first place in the sector industrial companies! Like ABB and Sulzer, Georg Fischer got a mark of +4, followed by Rieter und Autoneum. Georg Fischer landed in first place last year too. "Permanent resource efficiency goes without saying, and progress in this area is measured and reported," wrote "Bilanz". It continued: "Georg Fischer publishes its economic, ecological and social targets in a transparent manner."

This transparency will be there for all to see in just under four weeks when Georg Fischer publishes its next comprehensive sustainability report in early July with the latest data.
