GF fosters an innovative working environment. From 1 June 2017, the company strengthens flexible working models and extends childcare leave.

In addition to contemporary working models, a good work-life balance is one of the factors that determine the attractiveness of a company on the labor market today. Therefore, GF has introduced a new policy for employees in Switzerland. It enhances the flexibility of employees in managing their working hours and expands the benefits for soon-to-be parents.

GF supports a range of flexible working models which can be used in different life situations. Possible are in general: part-time work, job-sharing, unpaid leave, flexible working hours and home office – whenever it is realizable from a business perspective.

In addition, GF offers parents of new-borns three weeks’ paid maternity or paternity leave on top of the existing provisions under the collective employment agreement (mothers: 16 weeks, fathers: five days). Furthermore, the company guarantees women a comparable position – whether part-time or full-time – up to a year after the birth of their child, thus supporting women in returning to work after maternity leave.

CEO Yves Serra states: “We are convinced that these measures will further improve the working conditions of our employees and thus make an important contribution to creating an innovative and modern working culture.”
