At GF, sustainability translates into measurable impact. We focus on solutions with social and environmental benefits, invest in low-emission products, and provide transparent impact data to empower our customers.
Sustainable innovation
Sustainability is an integral part of our innovation journey. Our projects are systematically evaluated to enhance their sustainability performance and contribution to the circular economy. By promoting circular business models and offering rental solutions for machines and tools, we help extend product lifecycles and reduce waste across our value chain.
Low-emission products
We follow a lifecycle approach to product development, from material selection to end-of-life solutions, to minimize environmental impact. Our advanced polymers and thermoplastics are engineered for long service life and efficient resource use, even in the most demanding conditions. Their exceptional resistance to corrosion and harsh chemicals helps reduce maintenance, downtime and material consumption, while preventing losses of water and other sensitive media.
Product impact assessments
GF provides LCAs (Life Cycle Assessments) and EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) to assess and communicate the environmental impact of our solutions across their full lifecycle. Access the studies here.
Bio-based raw materials
For Industry and Infrastructure, GF offers bio-based portfolios, including bio-attributed PVC-U as well as high bio-content PE and PP solutions. For Buildings, the Uponor Blue product line supports customers in achieving environmental and carbon footprint reduction targets - featuring the world’s first bio-based PEX pipes.
Certifications
Several GF products support customers in meeting leading building standards and certifications such as LEED, BREEAM, DGNB and Minergie.
