The Clean Water Foundation was set up by GF in 2002 to improve access to water in developing countries and disaster areas.
Klostergut Paradies is the GF training center but is also used by third parties as a conference and meeting venue.
The Iron Library Foundation owns the largest private collection of books on the subject of iron and is housed in Klostergut Paradies.
The Gonzen AG iron ore mine was created in 1919; both the GF and Sulzer corporations own a 49% share. Mining operations ceased in 1966.
