120 students worked for 3 months on a concept for a new pipe peeler. GF Piping Systems awarded the best concept ideas, which have been manufactured as prototypes afterwards.

“Design Thinking helps us to continuously involve the customer into our innovation process,” says Lea Im Obersteg. She has been Design Thinking Champion at GF since 2018. Through her role and with the help of Design Thinking, GF aims to strengthen its innovation capabilities and customer centricity.

At the end of July 2018, 16 GF apprentices travelled to Bolivia for a development project week. There they worked with local pupils and young people. The apprentices shared their experiences in the Bolivia blog.

The Entrepreneurial Leadership Seminar provided 18 students from the ETH Zurich (CH) with a very rewarding learning opportunity: A real case on strategy and innovation. During two months, the students worked in teams on a specific Strategy 2020 project.
