GF Walk for Water 2025: Global steps, local impact

GF employees around the world are once again uniting to champion safe water access, empowering communities in need, and driving lasting change.

The GF Walk for Water is more than just a symbolic action – it embodies our commitment to building a sustainable future through safe water access for all. Each step we take is part of a much larger journey: helping transform lives where water is most needed.

Turning commitment into action

In 2024, more than 2'500 employees, customers, and partners took part in GF Walk for Water events; from Schaffhausen (Switzerland) to Brisbane (Australia), walks were held at 18 locations across four continents.

The funds raised enabled the GF Water Foundation and its partners to deliver tangible, community-focused solutions. These projects have directly improved the lives of more than 20’000 people across countries such as Mexico, Peru, Honduras, Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi, Uganda, India, and Indonesia. For example:

  • A solar-powered water system was implemented in Golomoti (Malawi), delivering safe water through a 15-kilometer pipeline to 23’000 people.
  • In El Fortín (Mexico), over 1’500 people gained access to safe water and sanitation, including 34 families who now benefit from newly built, dignified bathroom facilities.

Advancing our global impact in 2025

Through this year’s GF Walk for Water, which kicks off on 4 September in Coventry (UK), we continue to strengthen our commitment to humanitarian aid, community development, and the protection of natural ecosystems. Thanks to the ongoing support of our employees and partners, we’re excited to keep making a real difference.
