Georg Fischer AG, Schaffhausen, learned on September 18, 2008 from a communiqué of Credit Suisse Asset Management Funds, Giesshübelstrasse 30, 8070 Zürich, that the latter holds less than 3 percent of the voting shares of Georg Fischer AG in terms of Article 20 para 1 of the Stock Exchange Act. This information was released in conformity with Articles 9 and 17 of the Federal Banking Commission's Ordinance on the Stock Exchange.
