Jean-Pierre Wilmes nominated to the Executive Committee of Georg Fischer

Jean-Pierre Wilmes (64) is heading GF AgieCharmilles since 1 September 2010. Wilmes, a French citizen, has had a long and successful career at GF AgieCharmilles. After graduating as a metallurgy engineer and obtaining a degree in Business Administration from the ICG institute in Paris, he started his career as Sales engineer at Charmilles Technologies, France in 1972. Later on, he led the aforementioned company and was promoted to head the western European Sales Region. He managed and modernized thereafter the production site of Geneva and as of 1996 became part of the GF AgieCharmilles Group Management. Prior to his current position he was leading the worldwide sales and marketing organisation of GF AgieCharmilles. In this function, he has significantly contributed to its development in Asia and the Americas as well as to the integration of its sales network in all countries. 

As of 1 January 2011 the members of the Executive Committee are: Yves Serra, CEO; Roland Abt, CFO; Pietro Lori, GF Piping Systems; Josef Edbauer, GF Automotive and Jean-Pierre Wilmes, GF AgieCharmilles.
