Jürg Krebser will retire next month

Jürg Krebser, who holds a doctorate (Dr. sc. techn.) from the ETH Zurich, is 62 years of age and joined Georg Fischer in 1990. He started his over 20-year career at GF in the former Piping Systems Corporate Group, now GF Piping Systems, and assumed various operational management tasks in the Corporation in Switzerland and the USA.

In 1994, the Board of Directors appointed Jürg Krebser to the Executive Committee and as Head of the Corporate Group which is now GF Piping Systems. After working successfully for close to ten years in this function, he took over as Head of GF AgieCharmilles in 2003. As of 2008, he led various synergy projects for Georg Fischer as Delegate of the CEO.

Jürg Krebser has thus been a member of the Georg Fischer Executive Committee for around 16 years and has been instrumental in driving the Corporation's progress. Under his stewardship, important advances in the operational and strategic development of GF Piping Systems und GF AgieCharmilles were initiated and implemented. The Board of Directors and Executive Committee thank him for his great commitment and successful work and wish him health and happiness in a new and fulfilling stage of his life.

The members of the Executive Committee are now: Yves Serra, CEO; Pietro Lori, GF Piping Systems; Josef Edbauer, GF Automotive; Michael Hauser, GF AgieCharmilles; and Roland Abt, CFO.
