Georg Fischer issues its 2011 Sustainability Report

“We act in full transparency regarding our sustainability performance”, said Yves Serra, CEO of Georg Fischer. “The purpose of most of our products is to contribute to our customers’ sustainability efforts. We want therefore to show a good example within our own premises.”

The products and services of GF Piping Systems are designed to help its customers avoiding water leakages and contamination, whilst GF Automotive focuses on reducing vehicle weight and therefore emissions. Laser machines from GF AgieCharmilles can even replace chemical etching.

Georg Fischer also applies sustainability principles to its own facilities and trains its employees to act as one to address the corresponding challenges.

Georg Fischer publishes its sustainability figures every year and a comprehensive report every second year. The Sustainability Report has been validated externally and meets the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) application level B+.
