Georg Fischer agrees to settlement with Giorgio Behr

The Board of Directors of Georg Fischer AG has agreed to the settlement proposed by the Schaffhausen Cantonal Court in the dispute with BDS Beteiligungsgesellschaft AG, Buchberg, which is fully controlled by Giorgio Behr. It does not, however, agree in all respects with the arguments of the Cantonal Court regarding the formation of a group in the acquisition of a holding in Georg Fischer. Nevertheless, because various shareholders that the Board of Directors had attributed to the group of Giorgio Behr or BDS have sold their shares since the start of the proceedings, GF believes that it makes little sense to continue the action given the small number of shares involved.
