GF has won the 2022 ESG Reporting Award for best sustainability reporting among industrial companies. This a testament to the rigor, clarity and transparency of the company's reporting on environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics. The award further validates 25 years of sustainability reporting at GF, focused on clear, factual and transparent ESG information.
To select the winner and the shortlist of finalists in each category, a panel of independent judges looked at each company’s reporting policy, methodology and communication effectiveness. Beyond the company's sustainability report, judges also assess its ESG policy, guidelines and stakeholder engagement outcomes. This year's panel includes professors from universities (such as the London School of Economics and UCLA) and analysts from financial firms (such as Jefferies and Bank of America).
This year marks the first time GF entered this tough race. In 2022, the number of entries doubled from 2021, when ESG Investing, a global media platform, launched the competition.
